Hi, I’m Dhanush.
I recently completed my MSc in Italian Food & Wine at the University of Padova. My research explores how food connects with memory, emotion, and identity, and how emerging technologies like AI are reshaping authenticity and cultural heritage.
My thesis The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Food Authenticity and Emotional Connections in Cooking examined what is gained and what is lost when machines enter the kitchen. Can a robot carry tradition? Can AI preserve intergenerational recipes? These questions continue to guide my work.
Before my MSc, I worked in hospitality and education, leading wine events and campus operations. These experiences strengthened my skills in communication, management, and storytelling qualities I now bring into my research.
Beyond academics, I host a podcast, write essays, and continue experimenting with traditional recipes far from home. At the core of everything I do is a belief that food is more than sustenance it is memory, culture, and connection.
